Essential Wellness Profile Package in Gujranwala

There is a category of complaint that basic testing tends to miss. Tired all the time, but the blood counts are normal. Aching, low mood, thinning hair, cold hands, putting on weight without eating more. Nothing dramatic, nothing a doctor can point to, and every basic result comes back fine. Very often the answer sits in the tests a basic panel does not include.

The Essential Wellness Profile is a step up in depth from the Basic Assessment. It suits adults over 30 having a thorough annual check, anyone with persistent fatigue, weight change or low mood without a clear cause, women, who carry a much higher rate of both thyroid disorder and iron deficiency, and anyone whose basic screening was normal but who still does not feel right.

It includes everything in the Basic Wellness Assessment, plus thyroid function, HbA1c, vitamin D, vitamin B12, iron stores, hepatitis screening, uric acid and calcium.

If you are over 40, managing a chronic condition, or want the fullest picture available, look at the Comprehensive Wellness Profile instead.

How to Prepare

  • Fast for 9 to 12 hours. Required for the lipid profile and fasting sugar.
  • Plain water only. Tea, coffee with milk and juice all break the fast.
  • Book an early morning appointment. Fasting overnight beats fasting through the day.
  • Take thyroid medication after the sample, not before, if you are already on thyroxine. Check with your doctor if you are unsure.
  • Stop biotin supplements at least 48 hours before, if you take them. High-dose biotin interferes with several immunoassays including thyroid tests.
  • Eat normally the day before. Do not diet or skip dinner in preparation.
  • List all medicines and supplements.
  • Bring previous reports for comparison.

Frequently Asked Questions

The core panel is routine and receives a same day report from our Model Town laboratory in Gujranwala. Vitamin D and vitamin B12 are specialised assays and take longer, so the consolidated report follows once those complete. We give you the expected date when you book.
Yes. Fast for 9 to 12 hours, since the package includes a lipid profile and fasting blood sugar. Plain water is allowed. If you take thyroxine, take your dose after the blood draw rather than before.
It works well for routine monitoring, since it covers HbA1c, thyroid function and organ health together. If you are managing more than one chronic condition or are over 40, the Comprehensive Wellness Profile gives a fuller assessment.
Vitamin D and B12 deficiency are both common in Pakistan and both produce symptoms that get mistaken for stress, ageing or simply being busy: fatigue, aching, poor concentration, low mood. They are also easy to correct once identified.
