Overview
Turning forty in Pakistan is a reasonable moment to stop assuming and start measuring. Not because something is wrong. Usually nothing is. But this is the decade when diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorder and cardiovascular risk tend to establish themselves quietly, and it is far easier to intervene at the point where a number has started drifting than at the point where an organ has been damaged.
This is our most complete annual screening. It suits adults over 40 having a thorough annual assessment, anyone managing diabetes, hypertension or heart disease who needs full organ monitoring, people with a strong family history of chronic illness, and anyone who wants the fullest available picture rather than a targeted panel.
It includes everything in the Essential Wellness Profile, plus ESR, blood group and Rh factor, GGT, phosphate, and eGFR reported alongside the renal panel. Chronic disease rarely announces itself. It accumulates. A comprehensive panel does not prevent disease, but it buys you the time to do something about it.
Radiology is not part of this package. If your doctor has asked for an X-ray or ultrasound alongside it, our Daska branch offers imaging services.
What's Included
ESR
A general marker of inflammation anywhere in the body
Blood Group and Rh Factor
Worth having on record once
Frequently asked for before any procedure
GGT
Sensitive to alcohol use and bile duct problems
Useful when ALP is raised and the cause is unclear
Phosphate
Part of the bone and kidney health picture
Read alongside calcium and kidney function
eGFR
Reported alongside the renal panel
The number nephrologists use to stage kidney disease
How to Prepare
- Fast for 10 to 12 hours. Nothing to eat. Required for lipids, fasting sugar and several other assays.
- Plain water only, and drink plenty of it. Good hydration makes a multi-tube draw considerably easier.
- Book the earliest morning slot. This is not a package to attempt in the afternoon.
- Take thyroxine after the draw, not before, if you are on thyroid medication.
- Stop biotin supplements at least 48 hours before if you take them, as high-dose biotin interferes with several immunoassays.
- Avoid heavy exercise and alcohol for 24 hours beforehand, since intense activity raises creatinine and liver enzymes.
- Ask for a urine container when you book. A mid-stream sample is what is needed.
- Bring your full medicine list and previous reports. The comparison against last year is half the value.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the Comprehensive Wellness Profile report take?
The routine components receive a same day report from our Model Town laboratory in Gujranwala. Specialised assays such as vitamin D, vitamin B12 and hormone tests take longer, so the full consolidated report follows once those complete. We give you the expected date when you book.
How many hours of fasting does the full body checkup require?
Fast for 10 to 12 hours before the sample. Plain water is allowed and you should drink it freely, since good hydration makes a large draw easier. Avoid all food, tea, coffee with milk and juice during the fasting window.
Is this package appropriate for someone over 60?
Yes, and it is one of the age groups it is designed for. Kidney function, thyroid status, vitamin D and B12 levels and blood sugar all warrant regular monitoring after 60. Booking it as a free home collection avoids the travel entirely.
Can I add tests to this package?
Yes. If your doctor has asked for something outside the panel, mention it when you book and we will add it to the same draw rather than requiring a second visit. Call 0316-7208633 and we will confirm what the addition involves.
What extra markers does the Comprehensive package check compared to Essential?
It adds ESR, blood group and Rh factor, GGT, phosphate and eGFR, giving a broader view of inflammation, liver, kidney and bone health.
How often should I repeat this comprehensive checkup?
Once a year is standard for most adults, though your doctor may recommend more frequent testing if you have an ongoing condition.
