Overview
Most people in Gujranwala get tested reactively. Something hurts, a doctor writes a prescription, a test gets done. The Basic Wellness Assessment flips that. It is the annual check for someone who feels fine and would like to keep it that way.
This is the entry-level annual screening. It suits adults in their twenties and thirties with no known health conditions, anyone who has never had a baseline set of results on record, people with a family history of diabetes or heart disease who want early monitoring, and employees needing a straightforward general health check.
A single normal result is mildly reassuring. Five years of results is genuinely useful, because it shows direction. Creatinine drifting upward within the normal range across three annual checks tells a doctor something that one isolated “normal” never could. The value of the first test is largely that it makes the second one meaningful.
If you are over 40, managing diabetes or high blood pressure, or have symptoms you want investigated, the Essential or Comprehensive Profile is the better fit.

How to Prepare
- Fast for 9 to 12 hours. Nothing to eat during that window.
- Plain water only during the fast. Tea, coffee with milk, juice and soft drinks all break the fast and will affect your lipid and sugar results.
- Book the earliest morning slot available. Fasting overnight is far easier than fasting through a working day.
- Eat normally the day before. Do not skip dinner or eat unusually lightly.
- Avoid a heavy, oily meal the night before, which will show up in your triglycerides.
- Continue prescribed medicines unless your doctor has said otherwise, and tell us what you take.
- Ask for a urine container when you book. A mid-stream sample is what is needed.
- Bring previous reports if you have them, so results can be compared.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long do I need to fast before the Basic Wellness Assessment?
Fast for 9 to 12 hours before your sample is taken, because the package includes a lipid profile and fasting blood sugar. Plain water is allowed and encouraged. Avoid tea, coffee with milk, juice and all food during the fasting window.
When will I receive my package report?
Every test in this package is routine and is processed at our own laboratory in Model Town, Gujranwala. You receive a same day report, delivered by WhatsApp and available in the City Care Lab app. All results are verified by our consultant pathologist, Dr. Beenish Haleem, before release.
Can the whole package be collected at my home in Gujranwala?
Yes. Every test in the Basic Wellness Assessment can be collected at home at no extra charge, across Gujranwala city, Daska, Sambrial and Mundeke. Book an early morning slot so you can eat soon after the fasting draw.
How is this different from the Essential Wellness Profile?
The Basic Assessment covers the core organ systems: blood, sugar, cholesterol, liver, kidney and urine. The Essential Profile keeps all six of those and adds thyroid function, HbA1c, vitamin D, vitamin B12, iron stores and hepatitis screening.
Who should get the Basic Wellness Assessment?
It suits anyone wanting a general annual health check, especially first-time checkup patients without specific symptoms to investigate.
Is this package enough for a routine yearly checkup?
For most healthy adults, yes. If you have diabetes, thyroid issues, or want vitamin screening, the Essential Wellness Profile covers more ground.
