Preparing for Your Scan
Preparation depends on what is being scanned. For a pelvic ultrasound, you will usually need a full bladder, so drink water beforehand and avoid urinating until the scan is done, unless our staff tells you otherwise. For an abdominal scan, we may ask you to fast for a few hours so gas does not interfere with the image. We will confirm exactly what you need when you book.
