City Care Lab does not run its own blood bank. What we do is simpler, and often faster for you: we arrange blood through local blood banks we work with.
Tell us what the doctor has asked for. We check who has it, confirm the cost and timing with you, and run the cross match at our lab if it is needed.
What We Can Arrange
Packed Red Cells
Commonly requested for severe anaemia, thalassaemia patients, or blood loss after an operation.
Platelets
For patients whose platelet count has dropped, for example during dengue or some cancer treatments.
Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP)
Used for bleeding and clotting problems. See our FFP with complete screening option.
How It Works
- Call or WhatsApp 0316-7208633. Tell us the blood group, what the doctor has asked for, how many bags, and the hospital name.
- We check availability with local blood banks, then confirm the cost and timing with you before anything is booked.

- A family member collects the blood from the blood bank. We tell you exactly where to go and what to bring.
Your doctor decides which blood product the patient needs. Our job is to make it easier to get.
Keep These Ready Before You Call
The patient’s blood group (it is printed on most old reports). A photo of the doctor’s request slip. The patient’s name, and the hospital and ward.
Screening and Safety
Licensed blood banks screen each donated bag for infections such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, syphilis and malaria. Ask us which checks a bag has had, and we will tell you plainly.
Blood is always given in a hospital, under a doctor’s care. We arrange it. Your medical team decides how and when it is used.
Replacement Donors
Some blood banks ask a family member or friend to donate a bag in return. If that applies, we will tell you upfront, so there are no surprises at the counter.

Is City Care Lab a blood bank?
No. We don't store blood ourselves. We arrange it through local blood banks, and we can run the cross match at our lab.
How quickly can you arrange blood?
It depends on the blood group and what is in stock. Common groups are usually quicker, while rarer ones like O negative can take longer, so call as early as you can.
Who collects the blood?
A family member collects it from the blood bank. We tell you exactly where to go and what to bring.
What is a cross match?
A lab check that makes sure donor blood is compatible with the patient's blood before transfusion. Your doctor will tell you if one is needed.
Do you arrange platelets for dengue patients?
Yes, when a doctor has asked for them. Platelets are usually given only when the count falls very low or there is bleeding, so follow your doctor's advice rather than the number alone.
